Some say that talent comes as you practice. Some say you're born with talent. Well I'm that percentile of people that believes strongly in that you have to be born with talent. This young artist known by Jay Abkari (Jose Valverde) really had an impact on myself. I saw a young man willing to do anything to get to where everyone dreams of being. He has shown me both talent, and ambition, which are the key benefactors of actually being successful. He had something to say about himself that I want to share with the world because it would be a crime to keep it to myself.
"Well, wus gucci? I go as Jay Abkari, "Abkari" stands for "genius" in Arabic. I been writing lyrics for over five years, not rap specifically but even poetry. Then I found my true love which was rapping... I liked mixing rhyme schemes and word play and creating stories with in an interesting way. I just express my everyday life in an entertaining manner. We go out, smoke, socialize, talk to girls, turn up, but the prize is always in clear sight; make a career of what I like doing the most, music. They say if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life... well I still don't know what work is. My album Ignorance Is Bliss is coming soon, stay tuned. The love for the game is the motive, the money is a bonus, and the bitches come and go."
